Favorite Spots in Raleigh

Raleigh is not only Live Love’s favorite place to be, its one of the fastest growing cities in the nation – so it is many others’ favorite spots as well! It can be overwhelming to come into a city like Raleigh that has so much to offer you might not even know where to start! So we compiled a quick list to help you navigate our big city!

I’m a foodie at heart, so I always have my eye on restaurants I want to try! Since there are so many, I’ve got a great tried and true list of my favorite eateries around Downtown. Desserts are my favorite and one of the places I love is Two Roosters Ice Cream. They offer so many different flavors (I love cookies and cream) cups, cones and pints! They also have cakes and pies. With three locations in Raleigh and one in Durham (also sold at Durham Bulls games), you can find the best spot to stop for you. They also offer online ordering for your convenience!

Another absolute favorite of mine is the opportunity for breakfast all day! You can get that at Flying Biscuit in the Village District in Raleigh. There are many locations around the country and multiple in North Carolina, but it is one of the best stops for good quality breakfast food, especially those famous biscuits! They also have burgers and sandwiches if you aren’t feeling breakfast when you are there. I also love that they offer vegan and vegetarian options, as well. Their food is natural and hip and the atmosphere is so charming. For our complete list of restaurants, head to the end of this post!

Along with all the amazing museums and stadiums right here in Raleigh, there are some other wonderfully fantastic stops. Since it’s finally Spring, the first place I would recommend is Dorothea Dix Park. They have SO many events held year round, you are bound to find one you and your family would enjoy. But besides the major activities, its also such a great place to get outside. Flowers are blooming throughout the park now as the weather warms up, but they also have an awesome sunflower field in the summer you should definitely check out!

Raleigh’s Farmers Market is another must do here in the Triangle. Not just fresh local fruits and veggies, but so much more handcrafted local products made by small businesses in Raleigh. It’s open year round, seven days a week and has a 15,600 square foot enclosed building in case the day you planned to go has inclement weather.

We created a little cheat sheet for more of our favorite restaurants, events and things to do around this amazingly fast growing city of Raleigh. Let me know if you end up going to one of them, I really love hearing what you think!
