April Weekend Round Up

Spring is finally here and with that lots of fun outdoor things to do with your family and friends around The Triangle!

As the seasons change so do our favorite sports in Raleigh, March Madness is now done and in comes baseball! We’ve got our very own Single-A team the Carolina Mudcats who are affiliated with the Brewers. The Mudcats start their opening home stand at Five County Stadium on Tuesday, April 11th. Opening night is Taco Tuesday with $2 tacos all night! They’ve got Thirsty Thursday with half priced 24oz cans all night. Then Friday there are amazing post game fireworks! There are also fun incentives on Saturday and Sunday as well! Throughout the season the Mudcats have lined up TEN souvenir giveaway events and ELEVEN different post game fireworks. Head to http://www.milb.com/carolina-mudcats to get tickets to a game and more information!

If you are looking to get out with friends for some day time and evening fun, Raleigh has you covered for that as well with back to back weekend adult events. Brewgaloo and NC Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival are located Downtown and are all day events. Brewgaloo will be a two day event on April 21st and 22nd where as NC Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival will be a one day deal on April 29th. Both will bring so many amazing local and state wide vendors to our city for you to sample some absolutely yummy food and drink. Both will definitely have some awesome live music, too! These are two opportunities not to be missed in my opinion!

Brewgaloo : North Carolina’s Largest Craft Beer Festival

Wake Forest hosts a charming HerbFest downtown on White St. each year and will be held April 28-30 and May 5-7. Friday and Saturday are 9am-6pm and Sunday is 10am-4pm. This is the longest running herb festival in the entire country and includes certified organic grown from organic stock, non GMO, heirloom varieties herbs, vegetables, tomatoes, peppers and lots more. Perennials that are specific to our area will also be available. This is truly a healthy lifestyle festival which will be so fun for all ages. There will be special guests, live music and more so check out @herbfestwf or http://www.herbfest.net for more information!

As always, if you go to one of these events or the many many more offered all over The Triangle this Spring, please let me know what you think!
