Favorite Spots in Cary

Cary is hands down, one of the best places to live in North Carolina and we are so happy this sweet town is part of our Triangle community. It has so many truly amazing dining spaces, upscale shopping centers and such a family friendly atmosphere. Cary is definitely a great spot to look if you would like to live just outside of the urban area that is Raleigh.

Some of my favorite restaurants are located in Cary and many have earned prestigious awards! Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen, which is a part of the Quaintance-Weaver family of restaurants and hotels, is an upscale joint located in Cary (and Greensboro, too). Their specialty is classic Southern dishes made exceptionally with lots of local ingredients. I absolutely love restaurants which use ingredients that change with the seasons because then you truly know it is fresh. This restaurant is one of those, so their menu changes often. They have soups, salads, sandwiches as well as burgers and entrees like Southern Fried Pork Chops and Shrimp and Grits. You can order or make reservations online, as well!

Another restaurant to try is Chef’s Palette. With award winning chefs in the back kitchen, this one is sure to be a favorite. It’s a family friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant that offers a fine dining atmosphere as well as a more causal bar area. They really choose to give restaurant goers a full on experience when coming in as they consider the visit an art form. They have live music on Saturdays, which I love!

A bonus for my blog readers is Fresh. Local Ice Cream in Downtown Cary. They have four other locations around the Triangle, including in Raleigh. This award winning ice cream is created fresh every week from local dairy farms and produce right here in the Triangle. They design new flavors every month, too! It is award winning for a reason, absolutely too good not to miss!

Another great space for a whole experience in Cary is Bond Brothers Beer Company. Although it is a brewery, its more than that there. They pride themselves in being more of a community hub for Downtown Cary. A place where people can gather to be together with food trucks often and many nights of live music. They also host the Mid-Town Square Spring Festival every year, which brings in a lot of people from surrounding areas in the Triangle and beyond.
